Hindi: हे कौन्तेय! इंद्रियों के विषयों का सम्पर्क सर्दी, गर्मी, सुख और दुःख देने वाला है। ये सब आते-जाते रहते हैं, अनित्य हैं। हे भारत! इन्हें सहन करो।

वासांसि जीर्णानि यथा विहाय नवानि गृह्णाति नरोऽपराणि।

नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः।
